About the Artist
Mike Hernandez is an Artist based out of Miami, FL. His work combines his fascination and exploration of nature and truth filtered through his love of minimalism and mystery. The dense, swelling thunderstorm clouds that frequently materialize in South Florida serve as one of his many inspirations.
Mike’s paintings feature an emphasis on strong contrast, as well as the relationship between scale, space and geometry in order to create truly alien images. Mike is mostly self taught, using only Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and White paint to mix all of his other colors and occasionally adding acrylics together.
